Organize your own desktop with ObjectDock

I discover this application from a best friend of mine. The ObjectDock application has the similarity of Windows Taskbar’s Quick Launch function. But the ObjectDock has a better appearances and effects that you can modify.

To make it simple, ObjectDock is a program that enables you to organize your shortcuts, programs and running tasks into an attractive and fun animated Dock.

ObjectDock Plus-ObjectDock Plus is available for $19.95, and touts unique and extremely useful features not available anywhere else. “Plus” is exactly what it sounds like - all the functionality and style that the free ObjectDock offers, ‘Plus’ a lot more.

Below is a comparison table for ObjectDock and ObjectDock Plus:

I’ve downloaded the free version of ObjectDock and installed into my computer. The installation was quick and easy. I’ve play around with it for a while. The customization is very simple too. You can either customize using the default built-in add/remove docklets function

ObjectDock

or you can simply just drag and drop the docklets to add/remove. You can also position the customized ObjectDock to the edge of the computer screen(top, bottom, left or right). I have a lot of fun customizing my desktop and this will definitely help me to access my desired menu faster.

These are the early versions of my customized ObjectDock looks like when displaying on my desktop screen.

p/s: Just to clarify that my system is actually running on Windows XP sp2. I’ve have customized my computer wallpaper, my taskbar, my desktop theme and appearance to Windows Vista. This has nothing to do with any of ObjectDock features.

A Floating Rock

Files under Fun, Interesting | 2 Comments

I managed to capture this picture when I visited my gf at her house last weekend. Guess what, it’s a floating rock.

Floating rock

She collected the rock during her last trip to Japan. You can read about her Japan trip post here. This is a real rock where she picked it from a volcanic mountain in Japan. Due to the very hot temperature around the volcanic area, the rocks was ‘digested’ and became ‘weightless’ (Sorry, I can’t think of the correct word to describe).

Floating rock

When I hold the rock on my palm, I can’t feel any weight. It doesn’t feel like a rock at all. It simply amazing to know what mother nature can do. With a little strength added, the rock smashed!!
