Sushi King is having the RM2 privilege bonanza again. This time around is from 7th till the 10th of April. Normally I will not miss such opportunity! Thanks to Christine for borrowing me her member’s card.

I was at Prangin Mall’s Sushi King this evening, enjoying this offer which only comes every few months. This RM2 offer only applies to the rice base sushi which is ‘calling out for you’ on the kaiten belt. I manage to take these photos when I was almost full, sitting….

Really feels good eating my favorite Japanese sushi. By the time I finished and decided to pay, the total sushi plates that I have…….. ‘ehem’… is 11 plates.

This will normally cost RM52 on normal price. But today, it only cost me RM22!

The title says it all. Well, almost……

I went to try the BBQ Chicken Restaurant at Gurney Plaza last night. I have not tried the food there although they have opened for a while now.

The restaurant is called BBQ Chicken-Korea’s No.1 Chicken Restaurant(that’s the cashier counter). It’s fancy to know that most restaurant will name theirs as the ‘No. 1 of ???’. They will always want to be the first of its kind. But that only applies to the name, how about the environment, the service and the food? Will it be No.1 too??

The environment is clean and comfortable, mostly because it’s still new. Many new restaurants and shops have opened here as Gurney is doing a big second phase upgrade. So there are gonna be more new shops we will see here.

Back to BBQ Chicken Restaurant, as you can see in the picture above, the secret ingredient used in the menu is olive oil. This brochure is place on every table so you can read to know the secret & benefits of using olive oil. I can’t tell you about it because I didn’t read it. Hehehe. Sorry! I was hungry and I only look at the menu.

Finally, the food! We ordered 2 bottomless soft drink as we were thirsty(and it’s more worth it)

A fillet sandwich with potato wedges. This is indeed a thick sandwich. Even with my mouth open to the max, I still can’t get it into my mouth. Damn! It’s a chicken fillet and the bread is filled with mayonnaise and mustard sauce.

The other dish we ordered was Hot Hot Drum with salad and fried rice. This is a spicy chicken dish, that’s why there is not one, but two ‘Hot’. If you can’t take spicy food, please do not try this. The sauce they put is indeed spicyX2.

They do offer other good dishes and menus. So if ‘chicken’ is your middle name, then you can go and try the dishes here. As for the service, it was still ok.

We just had our Top Performer Award dinner on Thursday night. The dinner was held in Sriwan Thai Seafood Restaurant, at Crystal Point Bayan Lepas. This was the 3rd performer award dinner held so far, and it is rumored to be the last as currently our department has changed.

I’m lucky to be awarded as one of the top performers. This time we have 3 performers awarded, the English department was awarded to my colleague Sam(for the 3rd time around) and Chinese department has a tie, my colleague Wong and me.

I was awarded with a certificate, two cheques worth RM150 and Jusco vouchers worth RM50. Not too bad at all since Chinese New Year is just around the corner and I still haven’t do my shopping yet.

I’ll update this post with photos of the dinner as my captain Au has all the shots in his camera.

By the way, the foods served at Sriwan are delicious and not too spicy at all. I recommend this restaurant for families. The service is good too.

These donuts are from J.CO Donuts & Coffee which has just opened in Pavilion, KL. My brother brought it when he visited KL few days back.

Seems like these days there are a lot of donut shops opening everywhere, right? Missy Donut opened in Gurney Plaza two months ago. And I heard there was another donut shop opened in Sunway Pyramid.

I had a wonderful new year’s eve celebration. It’s 1-1-2008 today and I woke up at 12 noon! Gosh o_O…

It’s a new day, a new year, and a new spirit for me. Well.. I decided to bring my gf and head to Gurney Plaza to have our first lunch of this year. Hehe!

PastaMania, our destination. Located at the 7th floor, next to GSC Cinema, you won’t miss it. It has been almost 2 months since opening a branch here in Gurney Plaza, another branch is in Pavilion, KL. Yet this is the first time we went and tried. When ordering at the counter, it has a sign which says ” NO 10% Service Charge”. Wow… serious?

They serve a variety of menus for pizzas(flavours and sizes from 7″, 10″, 12″) and pastas(seafood, beef, chicken and vegetarian). Of course they serve desserts and beverages as well, both hot and cold.

Supervisor: a big smile on his face (not a sincere smile though)

Maybe because my look is very ‘yam’(suspicious). So, I have to tell him some ‘grandma story’ and that I’m writing for my blog, and so on…. then only I get a very nice sincere smile from him

After a while, the supervisor came back again and handed me this… O_o

The supervisor passed me this Feedback Card so that I can give them a few comments and feedback for improvement.

**Just for your information, the food served here are really nice and the place is clean and comfortable. If you are wondering about the price…

Cheap! and there is really no 10% service charge. No kidding!!!
